Ventana Lakes Property Owners
Association Present: Board Members: Lois Owen, Bob DellaPia, Chuck Hellquist, Bill Keitel and Vada Bowers Meeting opened with Pledge of Allegiance after quorum established. Minutes: Approval of the minutes of December 9, 2006 Board Minutes with a motion from Chuck Hellquist and a second from Bob DellaPia. President’s Report: Copy attached Treasurer’s Report: Copy attached. Report approved with a motion from Chuck Hellquist and a second from Vada Bowers. Insurance: Bill Keitel reported that we are getting bids from 3 or 4 companies and the company will be picked based on financial stability, service and price. A committee is working with Bill. Manager: New manager, Jack Donovan was introduced. He will start on January 29th. Committee Reports: Howard Penn gave his last report to the Board. A new chairman of this committee is needed. The committee accomplished a long list of repairs/replacements for December. Bill Barton is working on boat registrations and hopes to have them completed by February 15th. 300 carp have been ordered. In February they will begin work on cages. Landscape: Report attached. Architecture Committee: Moe Frenette reported that they have gone as far as they can with the house on Ross. Now the Board will have to decide how to proceed. The new paint books are nearly ready. The committee will begin a survey of the association. Election: Candidates are welcome to put flyers in the next newsletter if they desire. Ed Poorman has asked to be dropped from the election. The next candidate sessions will be Friday at 6:30 and next Wednesday at 6:30. Trucks Committee: J. McCord met with Rusty Bowers and some residents to look at the truck traffic. They are hoping to run 112th to the 303 and take traffic off of Beardsley. Old Business: Redo irrigation system on the west side of Lake 7 so fence can be repaired and painted. Approved after a motion from Chuck and a second from Vada. Rowing machine to be purchased for $1,201.81. Motion from Chuck and second from Vada. Treadmill to be purchased for $5,789.99 after a motion from Chuck and a second from Bob. Cement pads, cage alteration and locks to be completed by Scapes. Money to come from reserves. Motion by Chuck and second from Bill. New Business: Discussion on whether to have an audit or review. Chuck moved that we have a review, tax service and compilation (if required) by Cronstrom & Osuch. Second by Bob.
