Ventana Lakes Property Owners
Association Call to Order Lois Owen, President Meeting called to order at 1:00 PM. Board Members present Lois Owen, Bill Keitel, Bob DellaPia Lois Owen announced that this meeting was called to allow for in person voting to take place regarding the one expiring Board Position and to hold the Annual Membership Meeting. In person voting would be open from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Lois Owen then turned the meeting over to Bev Baade, the chairperson of the Election Committee. Bev Baade then supervised the in person voting. Recess At 6:00 PM Lois Owen recessed the meeting until 7:00 PM to allow time for all the mail in ballots and in person ballots to be counted by members of the Election Committee under the supervision of Bev Baade with Liz Miller, Property Manager present. Board Members Joe McCord, Chuck Hellquist and Bob DellaPia were also present to establish a quorum but all Board members left before the counting began. Reconvened The meeting was reconvened at 7:00 PM by the President Lois Owen. Board Members present Lois Owen, Chuck Hellquist, Joe McCord, Bill Keitel, Bob DellaPia Property Manager present Liz Miller Quorum established Liz Miller informed the VLOPA Membership that enough property owners had voted creating a quorum allowing the Annual Membership Meeting to be held. Introductions and Proof of Notice for this Meeting All five Board Members were introduced and Liz Miller confirmed that notice of the meeting met all requirements. Approval of Minutes Lois Owen informed the membership that the original Minutes for the March 1, 2005 Annual Membership Meeting could not be found. Lois Owen had presented the Board and residents present with Replacement Minutes. Motion by Chuck Hellquist to approve the Replacement Minutes of the March 1, 2005 Annual Membership Meeting. Seconded by Joe McCord. Motion Passed Lois Owen then asked the Membership if they wanted to approve these minutes and the majority present said YES. Election Results The following were announced by Bev Baade, Election Chairperson. Vada Bowers - 351 votes New Board Member replacing Joe McCord whose one year term had expired The remaining votes: Joe McCord - 321 votes Sue Ward - 126 votes Rudy Simon - 2 write in votes Bob DellaPia - 1 write in vote Bob Brick - 1 write in vote Vicki Scarborough - 1 write in vote Alfred ? - 1 write in vote Adjournment There being no further business to discuss the meeting was adjourned at 7:10 PM.
