Manager's Report

December 1, 2005

The full force of the Holiday Season is in motion and we will be experiencing some growth in traffic and population within the community.  Loved ones and friends will be visiting and sharing our wonderful weather and good fortune to live in such a nice community.  With that in mind, it may be helpful to remind you of the following:

- Guest passes are available at the management office.  A deposit of $5.00 per pass is required.  The deposit is refundable when the guest passes are turned into the management office.
- Homeowners who put their boats in use need to remember that no person under the age of 18 should be boating alone and without a life jacket.  Please promote safety around water.  Life jackets should be worn, boats should not be overloaded and balance should be maintained to prevent a tip over.
- The North Park Pool is the designated Children’s pool as of October 1, 2005 and will be heated for the winter.
- The Recreation Center is designed for adults.  Per the Guidelines of Ventana Lakes, no one under the age of 18 is allowed.  Please note that if you would like to take your guests on a tour, this would be permissible as long as you are not using the facilities.
- Be courteous of your neighbors; please do not abuse the motor home rules.  You may rent parking space at the Yacht Club for $5.00 a day through the management office.  You may not park for more than the allowed time of 48 hours to load and unload nor should you plug into your house electricity.

An early reminder to the boat owners in the community, please make sure that you are maintaining your boat.  2006 Boat Registration is coming up and we will need to ensure that you are properly maintaining your boat or permissible water device.  If you do not have a permissible water device on the lake water, please be sure that you have it stored in a manner as to not be visible from neighboring or common property.  We appreciate in advance your efforts and you will be hearing from the Lake Committee and Management regarding this subject.

As we approach a new year, we will continue to strive for maintaining the integrity of the community.  We will work within our budget to supply the services that are required and look for ways to improve the systems and procedures for the community.  Management will work with the various committees and report to the Board.

In closing, it is important to remember that we should all be part of the same effort.  We need to work together, maintain positive rapports with one another and assist in finding solutions to our concerns that benefit the entire community.  Our best wishes for a joyful, healthy and happy Holiday Season.
