Manager's Report

November 1, 2005

The beginning of a new month!!  The weather has been pleasant and there is quite a bit of activity taking place within the community.  November is the month to give thanks and reap what we sow and I hope that we all take the time to do that this month. I have several projects that I am currently working on and hope to have an informational report to give at the Board Meeting on November 16, 2005.  Mark your calendars, the meeting will be at 1:30 p.m. at the Yacht Club and I look forward to seeing you there.

I have received positive feedback regarding the new pool company.  Many of the repairs are in progress and we will forge ahead to get things under control as quickly as possible.  I will be sending notification regarding the draining of the Recreation Center pool prior to the work taking place and we will be sure to have the Yacht Club pool ready for your use during this project.  Again, I would like to thank everyone for their patience during the transition period.

The new lake maintenance company has been retained beginning November 1, 2005.  I am now waiting for Ventana Lakes to be added to the schedule for service.  This is great news for the community.  The Lakes Committee still works hard and is getting ready to remove the barley straw from the lakes.  The combined efforts of the committee and the new lake maintenance company should enhance the lake quality for the benefit of the community.  Hats off to all the hard workers on the Lakes Committee as well as to all the other hard working volunteers in the neighborhood, you are appreciated!

I would like to address the community in general regarding issues that each and every individual homeowner can assist with.  Take a walk outside, go across the street and lake, turn around and take a good look at your home.  Are you seeing what your neighbor is seeing?  Is it time to perform a little yard maintenance by removing a dead bush or tree?  Maybe it might be time for you to paint your gate or garage?  Please take the time and energy to maintain the integrity of the neighborhood and one of your most treasured assets.  Please remember that any changes you make to your home need to go through the Architectural Committee and I always recommend that when in doubt submit, submit, submit to the Architectural Committee.

In closing for this month, I would like to remind each of you to have kindness and consideration for your neighbor.  We all need to learn to remember that we are all striving for the same individual goals and maybe we need to think about the mutual goals of the entire neighborhood.  If you have a pet, please clean up after him or her.  Keep them on a leash and please make sure you control their barking.  Being thoughtful of your neighbors makes your community that much nicer.

Until next month-----stay safe and have a joyful and Happy Thanksgiving.
