Ventana Lakes
Property Owners' Association
Manager's Report
October 8, 2005
WOW! What 30 days can offer at a new endeavor for the staff at Ventana Lakes Property Owners Association. We have been challenged and rewarded in many ways. I would like to begin by stating a huge thank you to all the volunteers in the community. A special thanks to the office volunteers for helping us gain footing while learning our way around. Also, to Chuck Schumm, who graciously gave us extra time to teach us how to operate the computer programs for the homeowner badges. For all of you that had your photos taken, your badges are finally ready. Thanks for your patience.
I think that it is important to offer some insight into how my role as your new manager is evolving. I am the facilitator for the Board. I take direction from the Board and I work on the issues that are currently facing the community with respect to the common areas and day to day operations of the community. I have been truly grateful for the insight and knowledge that the homeowners are sharing with me in order to assist in the projects at hand. It is important to realize that time and circumstance play significant roles in how the Board prioritizes a schedule for completion of pending projects.
As such, collectively, we have been working on the issues with the pool areas. At the October Board of Directors meeting, the Board approved several items to be completed in the pool areas due to some equipment issues that are hindering the pools and spas. Further, it was determined that a new pool service contractor would be hired. News will be forthcoming regarding this matter as we transition. We ask for your patience during this time and look forward to having this matter taken care of with as little inconvenience as possible.
We are also in the process of scalping the grass in order to over-seed. You may experience a little more dust than normal which is common during this process. As well, we will be working with tree trimming professionals to address common/Garden area tree trimming that cannot be performed by Scapes, Inc., our landscape service provider, due to the size and height restrictions within our contract. This is also a normal occurrence and we will keep you updated on this issue as well.
To keep it brief, there is a lot of action in the community and we will keep you updated and try to inform you of the local happenings within the community on a regular basis. We welcome you to attend the meetings and if you have an issue you would like to address, please call me and schedule an appointment, I am here to assist and look forward to a successful relationship with the Association and its members.
